The Opportunity

As a Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics - Software Engineering Intern, you will engage in the dynamic world of software and product innovation, contributing to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge software solutions. This role offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the intricacies of software engineering, where you'll apply your skills in programming languages, software development methodologies, and user interface design to create impactful applications.

As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will perform basic tasks and conduct research while observing professional work environments, contributing to the team's success. This role emphasizes a learning mindset, encouraging you to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds value for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting software engineering teams in developing innovative applications and frameworks
  • Participating in the design and implementation of software solutions using programming languages such as Java, Python, and C+- Assisting in debugging and troubleshooting software issues to enhance application performance
  • Engaging in code reviews to maintain coding standards and improve software quality
  • Contributing to the development of microservices and enterprise application architecture
  • Collaborating with team members to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Utilizing software development methodologies to support project planning and execution
  • Assisting in quality assurance testing to validate software functionality and reliability

What You Must Have

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
  • Client service intern positions are entry-level roles intended for job seekers who are in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Winter internships typically occur during the spring semester preceding the student's final year of school Summer internships typically take place during the summer preceding the student's final year of school


What Sets You Apart

  • Preference for one of the following fields of study: Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Computer Management, Information CyberSecurity, or Software Engineering
  • Preference for a 3.3 overall GPA

The salary range for this position is: $29.25 - $48.00. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
