A well-established, growth-minded community bank is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to join its team in St. Charles, Illinois . This is a high-impact role for a relationship-driven lender who thrives in a flexible, local decision-making environment and wants to be part of a close-knit, mission-focused team.
What You'll Do:
Develop and grow a commercial loan portfolio focused on CRE, C&I, and construction lending
Call on small to mid-sized businesses, commercial real estate developers, and local entrepreneurs
Work closely with credit partners to structure deals and shepherd loans through the approval process
Leverage your community ties and centers of influence to generate quality leads
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored financing solutions that help them grow
Contribute to strategic business development efforts across the St. Charles and greater Chicagoland area
What We're Looking For:
5-10+ years of commercial lending experience in a community or regional bank environment
Strong knowledge of credit, underwriting, and deal structuring in the $500K-$5MM range
Experience with construction or affordable housing lending is a plus
Existing COI network in the western suburbs or St. Louis metro area preferred
Self-starter who can build and manage a pipeline independently, with support from leadership
Passion for community banking and long-term relationship building
