**Description** **Specialization:** Emergency Medicine **Job Summary:** Valley Regional Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in the South Padre Island area. **Qualified Candidates:** + Must be ABEM BC/BE Emergency Medicine **Incentives/Benefits:** + 1099 Independent Contractor Status + Up to 120 hours per month available + Malpractice coverage + Flexible scheduling + Travel covered for block of shifts **Facility Information:** + 45,000 Annual volume with steady growth + Level III trauma center + Primary Stroke Center + Primary PCI + 36 hours of physician coverage per day + 36 hours of APP coverage + 22 beds Emergency Department + 2.2 patients per hour + 24 hours of Intensivist and Hospitalist coverage + Dedicated Women's Center with dedicated L&D ED Valley Regional Medical Center is a 215-bed facility and conveniently located at the corner of Expressway 77 and Alton Gloor Boulevard in Brownsville. With physicians representing more than 25 specialties, Valley Regional Medical Center is a leader in a vast array of high-quality programs, including advanced diagnostic imaging, interventional cardiac catheterization, open heart surgery, laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, robotics, women's services, pediatric services and neonatal intensive care. Valley Regional Medical is a nationally accredited Advanced Primary Stroke Center and our Emergency Department is designated as an Advanced Level 3 Trauma Center treating a wide range of emergent needs 24 hours a day.
