Job Description

Job Title: Grain Maintenance Manager

Position Overview: The Grain Elevator Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities at our grain elevator. This role is critical to ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of our grain handling operations.

Grain Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities:

* Maintenance Oversight: Manage and perform routine and preventative maintenance on all grain elevator equipment, including conveyors, elevators, dryers, and other machinery.
* Repair Management: Diagnose mechanical issues and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
* Team Leadership: Supervise maintenance staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
* Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring timely availability for repairs and maintenance.
* Vendor Coordination: Work with external vendors and contractors to procure parts and services as needed.
* Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
* Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving equipment efficiency and reliability, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.

Grain Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the grain handling or agricultural industry.
* Technical Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with grain elevator equipment and machinery is highly desirable.
* Leadership: Proven experience in managing a team and coordinating maintenance activities.
* Safety: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or degree in a related field preferred.
