Paraprofessional – Day Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join a dynamic healthcare team in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 13-week assignment offering competitive hourly pay and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Monitor and document vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate
Provide basic first aid and CPR as required
Support patient mobility and assist with transfers ensuring safety and comfort
Collect specimens for diagnostic testing per instructions
Record observations and promptly report any changes in patient condition
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in patient care areas
Assist with feeding and hydration as needed
Operate and maintain basic medical equipment
Offer emotional support and companionship to patients
Protect patient confidentiality and follow all healthcare regulations
Work collaboratively with the care team to implement patient care plans
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures
Provide assistance with administrative tasks related to patient care
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a healthcare or patient care setting preferred
CPR and First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented
