The team is responsible for the_ **_architecture, analysis, detailed design, development, integration, test, and delivery of Oracle servers based on the latest high-end server-grade merchant silicon._** _The systems delivered are integrated as building blocks for some of Oracle's market leading and growing Cloud Systems & Appliances._
_The FPGA requirements of our next generation Oracle servers are very demanding with increasing focus on a high level of integration for our cloud and vertically integrated rack level solutions. This position is not in an FPGA service group but rather on a product team with full ownership responsibilities!_
_As an Electrical Design Engineer focusing on FPGA design, you will be responsible for system level and board level architecture and detailed design. You will take ownership of the FPGA work across all product development phases out to the transition to volume production. You will need to stay abreast of the latest developments in server technology and rapidly adopt & translate these into reliable FPGA subsystems for our Oracle offerings._

**Responsibilities**

+ _Architect and partition FPGA logic._
+ _Design and Code logic needed for next generation cloud compute servers, storage subsystems and GPU systems._
+ _Integrate common code blocks into designs._
+ _Simulate FPGA design solutions._
+ _Achieve timing closure on FPGA designs._
+ _Validate FPGA designs._
+ _Debug board problems with a focus on FPGA debug levels._
+ _Work with various internal teams to assure the requirements of the system and FPGA designs meet specifications._
+ _Collaborate with internal firmware/software teams on implementing system level diagnostics._
+ _Bring up and test prototypes._
+ _Develop and implement test plans._
+ _Mentor Junior Engineers._
+ _Perform and lead Lab debug of HW/FPGA problems._
+ _Contribute to formal design processes, including requirements management and documentation._
**_Desired Skills and Experience_**
**_Job Requirements:_**
+ _Proficiency in FPGA architecture, design, modeling, simulation, and verification._
+ _Expertise in Verilog._
+ _System Verilog a plus and VHDL a plus._
+ _Proficiency with FPGA design tools such as Vivado._
+ _Experience with Simulation/Verification tools such as Synopsys VCS._
+ _Experience with RTL linter tools such as Real Intent's Ascent Lint._
+ _Experience with I2C/SPI/eSPI/PMBUS/SVID/SGPIO/etc communication bus is preferred._
+ _Strong knowledge and application of high-speed design methodologies for FPGA logic._
+ _Solid understanding of digital design principles and synchronous design techniques._
+ _Experience with Logic level interface of service processors._
+ _Proficient in the complete flow of CAD design tools such as Cadence, Concept, Allegro._
+ _Proficient in constraint driven design methodologies._
+ _Working knowledge of circuit design and layout techniques, including analog, digital, programmable logic, and microcontroller technologies._
+ _Experience with the control and power sequence of high-performance CPU processors, GPUs, DDR memory DIMMs, PCIe Cards, Flash modules, disk drives etc._
+ _Strong working knowledge of Linux environment and scripting using shell scripts, TCL, Perl, Python, etc._
+ _Experience working as a team with other FPGA designers._
+ _Excellent communication and leadership skills._
+ _Experience with recent Intel/AMD/ARM chip sets and GPU is a plus._
+ _BSEE and 7 years or MSEE with 5 years FPGA engineering experience._

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
