Production Supervisor

KEARNEY, NE – BluePrint Engines is looking for a motivated and dependable employee who can maintain a fast pace while having a keen eye for detail. The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the collective production performance of their respective departments as measured by achieving our planned people, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth targets. Beginning with ensuring a showcase facility that results in opportunities for increased growth to instilling a high-performance environment. They will collaborate with their team to continuously improve the long-term performance of the facility.

RESPOSIBILITIES

• Ensure their department is safe and organized
• Coach subordinate leaders by managing daily improvements
• Reviews long term trends on scrap/rework and is able to use core problem solving to eliminate waste
• Able to confirm required machine and labor capacities are met in order to achieve targeted production plans
• Maintain the accuracy of your respective departments capacity and lead strategic line balancing to meet targeted production plans
• Track performance data and works with peer production leadership team to meet efficiency targets and control costs of their respective departments

• Able to coach subordinate leadership in the management of daily improvements
• Provide Production Manager with maintenance needs for increased machine up time
• Use data to identify top issues in their areas and uses core problem solving with their team to address these issues
• Implement process and procedures to achieve targeted production volume
• Challenge employees and ensure the best people are in the right places
• Implement the find it fix it ideas to improve processes, and encourage employees to escalate issues and ideas as well
• Identify internal employee growth opportunities and implement cross training, improvements, etc

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•  Previous manufacturing production supervision experience
• Assembly experience
•  Ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Maintain high expectations and hold people accountable
•  Effectively communicate clearly with honesty, integrity, and transparency

WORK ENVIRONMENT

•  A manufacturing environment may require heavy lifting and manual labor
• Clean, air conditioned and heated facility
•  Flexible and family oriented

HOURS

• This is a full-time position and will require more than a standard 40-hour work week and overtime
