Description:
Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with heavy (Cloud) experience.
Experience Level: Senior
Rate: $65 - 70hr
Location: Fully Remote
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities:
Design, code, and test scalable and reliable software solutions using Java technologies.
Migrate existing applications to the cloud and develop AWS Cloud Native Solutions.
Design and implement database and data storage solutions.
Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing and security scans.
Plan and implement automation tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning.
Ensure optimal configuration for scalability, performance, and security.
Install, upgrade, and patch infrastructure, developing scripts for automation.
Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
Experience Requirements:
Java, J2EE, OpenJDK, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate
AWS Cloud Services (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, ELB, ALB, Aurora RDS)
Database Technologies (MySQL, Aurora MySQL, Aurora Postgres)
CI/CD and DevSecOps Tools (GitLab, Sonarqube, Apache Maven, Tenable, NPM, Nexus Lifecycle)
Containerization and IaaS Tools (Docker, Fargate, Terraform, Ansible)
Authentication and Authorization (Kerberos, Okta)
Monitoring Tools (Systems Manager, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Instana, Splunk, Qradar)
Education Requirements:
BA/BS degree in a related field
AWS Cloud Certification
Active Public Trust Clearance or DoD Clearance (Candidates with an adjudication date within the last two years will have priority)
Job Location: Remote (Onboarding process will include a visit to a processing facility)
Additional Requirements:
Must provide proof of continuous residency in the US for the last 2 years
Experience with Agile Methodologies and Rally
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
