Job Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and results-driven Senior Commercial Manager to lead and grow our construction division. As part of the Product Management team, you'll collaborate with executives, sales, marketing, dealer development, and product support teams to establish sales channels, develop product strategies, and drive growth in the construction industry. Your expertise will be key to shaping the product roadmap and sales strategies to support new dealer development and expand our presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Channel Development: Identify, recruit, and build strong relationships with construction channel sales partners.
Strategic Leadership: Utilize your industry expertise to establish growth goals and build a competitive sales channel for the construction market.
Product Development: Partner with engineering and product teams to define, develop, and release new products that meet market demands.
Market Strategy: Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to identify market opportunities, define pricing, and create strategies that ensure competitiveness.
Growth Planning: Develop and execute a strategy to increase market share while expanding the construction product line.
Evaluation & Reporting: Assess the product development pipeline to identify growth opportunities and deliver regular reports on progress.
Trade Show Engagement: Represent the company at local and national trade shows to promote products and increase brand awareness.
Training Support: Help create and deliver training materials to dealers and sales personnel to ensure product knowledge is up-to-date.
Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with key vendors and clients, participate in contract negotiations, and ensure satisfaction.
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential business growth areas and support decision-making.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of experience in the tractor, ground care, compact construction, or outdoor power equipment (OPE) industries.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of CRM and ERP tools is a plus.
Planning & Organization: Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and collaborating across teams.
Travel: Willingness to travel, with approximately 20% travel expected.
Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to build relationships and present findings clearly.
Market Insights: Experience performing market research to identify new business opportunities.
Additional Skills: Project management experience is a plus.
