Responsibilities Title Clerk * Process all new vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled. * Prepares tax and title documents. * Stock vehicles * Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles. * Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete. * Complies and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles. * Stays abreast of title regulations. Accounts Payable * Reconcile and prepare daily cash deposit and process daily credit card deposit * Enter finalized cash receipts and update receivable ledger * Research and process bad checks for collection * Post accounts payable invoices * Record and maintain all 1099 information * Process 1099 year end forms and reports * Prepare accounts payable checks in a timely manner * Issue Purchase Orders to vendors as necessary * Research and answer all receivable and vendor inquiries Qualifications Title Clerk * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
